Start with the engineering decision

Choose a topic, compare the relevant model specifications, then request the evidence needed for your design. Article guidance does not establish the performance or interface support of every actuator configuration.

1. Actuator and application selection

Start with the load case, joint location, available space and integration constraints.

2. Torque, mass and thermal duty

Separate rated and peak torque; check speed, mounting, cooling and the complete motion cycle.

3. Communication and control integration

Confirm the exact interface, firmware and controller. A CAN port alone does not establish CANopen support.

4. Mechanical integration and precision

Compare the full installed assembly, feedback arrangement and load-dependent positioning behavior.
