Test Equipment & Procedures

Our factory is equipped with calibrated test rigs for comprehensive actuator validation. All equipment is traceable to national metrology standards.

Torque & Efficiency Test

Equipment: Magtrol HD-700 Dynamometer

Range: 0-200 Nm, ±0.1% FS accuracy

Test Points: 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, 120% rated torque

Measured: Output torque, input current, efficiency curve

Typical Result (ZHR-H17): 94.2% efficiency at 34 Nm rated load

Backlash Measurement

Equipment: Heidenhain RON 285 Angular Encoder

Resolution: 0.1 arcsec

Method: Fixed wave generator, ±2.5 Nm reversing torque on flexspline

Measured: Angular displacement at output flange

Typical Result (ZHR-H17): 14 arcsec (spec limit: <20 arcsec)

Thermal Run-In Test

Equipment: Espec PU-3J Temperature Chamber + Thermocouples

Duration: 120 minutes minimum

Load: 80% rated torque, continuous operation

Measured: Surface temp at 3 points (housing, flange, winding)

Typical Result (ZHR-H17): 58°C rise at 80% load (limit: 65°C)

Encoder Calibration

Equipment: Renishaw XL-80 Laser Interferometer

ZHR-H: 18-bit absolute magnetic encoder, ±0.001° accuracy

ZHR-P: Dual 17-bit absolute encoders + virtual zero compensation

Measured: Linearity error, hysteresis, repeatability

Typical Result: ±0.0008° linearity (spec: ±0.001°)

Noise & Vibration Test

Equipment: Brüel & Kjær 2250 Sound Level Meter + Accelerometers

Distance: 1 meter from actuator surface

Speed: Rated speed (typically 3000 RPM input)

Measured: A-weighted sound pressure level (dB), vibration (mm/s RMS)

Typical Result (ZHR-H17): 52 dB(A) at rated speed

Aging / Burn-In Test

Duration: 24 hours continuous operation

Load Profile: Cyclic load 20%-80%-20% rated torque

Speed: Rated input speed

Monitored: Current draw, temperature, position error trend

Pass Criteria: No parameter drift >5% over 24h period

Individual Factory Test Report

Every actuator ships with a serialized test report containing actual measured values—not just pass/fail.
